Egypt's mango export season opens in late June after a record 1.4M-ton 2025/26 campaign, with a shift toward late varieties.

Egypt’s mango export season begins in late June, following a record 2025/26 campaign of roughly 1.4 million tons — including about 40,000 tons of IQF mango.

Egypt’s mango export season is set to open in late June and early July. It follows a record 2025/26 campaign that produced around 1.4 million tons from about 137,000 hectares, with the processing industry accounting for some 40,000 tons of IQF mango.

Exporters say they are leaning further into late-maturing varieties to stretch shipments into October. The Gulf, Russia and Eastern European markets have been the most active destinations, and warmer flowering-stage temperatures could pull the 2026/27 start slightly earlier in some regions.

What it means for buyers: With the season just opening, now is the moment to lock early-variety allocation and map the late-variety calendar with your supplier. Egyptian IQF mango also offers a year-round processed option beyond the fresh window.
