Egypt’s produce reaches more than 176 countries. The European Union, Russia and the Gulf (led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE) form the core, with the Netherlands acting as the EU gateway. In 2025 Egypt added or expanded access in Venezuela (all citrus varieties), Mexico (hibiscus), Japan, the Philippines and the Caribbean, reflecting an active market-opening programme.

Method. Headline volumes are official Egyptian figures from the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine (CAPQ) and the Ministry of Agriculture, reported through national media. CAPQ figures are based on issued phytosanitary export certificates and can differ from HS-code customs trade statistics (for example, the CAPQ mango figure is higher than the HS 080450 trade figure used in the Mango Report). Crop-level reports cross-check these against USDA FAS, OEC, ITC Trademap and trade-press sources. Updated annually.
