Sources & Methodology

Method. Headline volumes are official Egyptian figures from the Central Administration for Agricultural Quarantine (CAPQ) and the Ministry of Agriculture, reported through national media. CAPQ figures are based on issued phytosanitary export certificates and can differ from HS-code customs trade statistics (for example, the CAPQ mango figure is higher than the HS 080450 trade figure used in the Mango Report). Crop-level reports cross-check these against USDA FAS, OEC, ITC Trademap and trade-press sources. Updated annually.
